COACH

Brett Morich

F/D · #14 · Port Huron Prowlers (FPHL)
Currently in Port Huron, MI

Brett Morich is a 24-year-old professional hockey player, Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), coach, and devoted follower of Christ. Born and raised in Chicago, he's built his life around one thing: chasing excellence on and off the ice, and bringing other players up with him.

Away from his own game, Brett is the Assistant Coach for the St. Clair County Community College (SC4) men's hockey team and the Coaching Director for the Port Huron Minor Hockey Association (PHMHA). Between coaching, strength and conditioning, and player development, his focus is simple: help skaters get the most out of what they have, on the ice and in life.

Recently married, Brett leads with faith, integrity, and purpose. Whether he's competing at the pro level, mentoring a young athlete, or writing a training program, he's chasing the same result: players who compete hard, build real character, and become a little better than they were yesterday.

Coaching philosophy
01
Tight ratios

Every clinic is capped so every skater gets reps and feedback.

02
Pro pace

Drills run at game-speed from minute one. No standing in lines.

03
Carry it home

Each session ends with one thing to practice on the driveway.

COACH

Reid Morich

Forward · Minnesota State Mankato Mavericks · NCAA D1
Currently in Mankato, MN

Brett's younger brother Reid is a current NCAA Division I forward at Minnesota State University, Mankato, one of the most respected programs in college hockey. Entering his sophomore year with the Mavericks, he's living what today's college coaches demand: compete level, execution, consistency, and the off-ice habits that separate players at the next level.

A strong Christian, Reid carries his faith into the way he trains, studies, and treats people. He believes discipline, character, humility, and putting others first are the foundation everything else is built on, on the ice and away from it.

He's also relentless about getting better. Reid knows talent alone isn't enough; every player needs an edge that sets them apart, whether that's skating, skill, hockey IQ, work ethic, or how they prepare physically. He works with skaters to find that edge and sharpen it. If your goal is to play at the next level, Reid is living the process every day and wants to help you do the same.

Abby Morich

Operations · Registration · Social media
Currently in Port Huron, MI

Abby handles the off-ice side of Morich Hockey: social media and marketing, day-to-day operations, and the administrative work that keeps everything moving. If something needs sorting out, she's already on it.

She comes out of junior hockey, where she spent a year with the North Iowa Bulls (NAHL) and Mason City Toros (NA3HL) as Manager of Game Day Operations & Fan Engagement. At Bethel University she studied English, political science, and history while running social media and writing for the athletic department, covering men's and women's hockey, men's and women's soccer, softball, and baseball.

These days Abby is also an office manager at a personal injury law firm. When she's not working, you'll find her training for endurance races, crocheting, or somewhere quiet with a good book.
